I work at the intersection of digital health, medical informatics, and AI in healthcare — teaching at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Porto and researching at RISE-Health.

My focus is simple: helping health professionals understand, evaluate, and use digital tools well. That means building decision support systems, studying how AI performs in clinical contexts, and designing courses that give healthcare professionals genuine technical fluency.

I live in northern Portugal with an amazing wife, two wonderful kids and two ok cats.
